hello everyone!here is my situationsi bought a 1990 240sx 100% stock sohc. the starter was mickey mouse. there is a red wire running from the starter to the interior fuse box to fuse #5. with a on and off switch in between. i would have to turn the key to ON then hit the switch to start the car........ since i just bought the car i left the starter on by accident and i drove for like 3 miles... next time i wanted to start the car. it didnt even crank.

so what i did, i checked the starter to see if it was still good. i connected the red wire to the positive on the battery. IT STARTED WITH NO PROBLEM.

Next i followed the red wire to the fuse. the fuse was burned. i replaced the fuse and tried to start the car but burned it again. so i got a higher fuse and the only thing it would do is make 1 tick noise everytime i hit the switch

my QUESTION : how do i wire the starter the right way ( THE WAY IT CAME FROM THE DEALER) turn key start. with no mickey mouse

where does the red wire connect on starter/solenoid? is the starter and solenoid separate on your car? i wonder if the button is for anti theft
