I just purchased an 03 with 70k - just had the following done:

- Oil change- transmission Flush (Type J is expensive!)- Coolant Flush- Injector Cleaning

Assuming maintenance was not done on this vehicle (no records), what other stuff should I do? Are there common issues listed somewhere in this forum I should read?

Do you think $11,999 was a good deal? - brakes and tires are new and its in great cosmetic condition. Looking for a new steering wheel though.

Welcome to Nico! Sounds like a deal (without looking it up on kbb).

Check your belts and hoses.

Welcome to nico,

It seems to be a really good deal if it doesn't have a salvage title. I also would change the sparkplugs. Kenrik brought it up 2 weeks ago. It is well worth.

Than start moding it.

What's the problem with the steering wheels?

Thanks for the feedback.

The title is clear - dealer was looking to get rid of it....it was on the lot for $17,499 for 3 months.

I'll have an alignment done when the steering wheel it replaced. It's just really chewed up...more than you would think for a car with 70k. Would this one work? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVW

I will replace plugs and check the belts/hoses. I'm fortunate to have a close friend who runs a good shop. Any other suggestions are appreciated. I'm particularly interested in any common issues to watch for like transmission problems, head gaskets, etc...

Thanks again. LeRoy
