noob questions

Hi!!! Im a new member and i am 17. I am planning on buying my first car in a month or so and i Have always loved nissan and even more the Z's. I am planning on buying a 90-96 2+2 and would like to give it a little more power. I dont have too much car knowledge and i was wondering if u guys could give me some help. So if someone could give me some ideas for some not too complicated bolt on parts that would be great...thanx alot!!!

all i can say is be prepared to pull your hair out a couple of times. i got my z two years ago when i was 17 and haven't regretted a day. almost anything you are going to do to a z will take time and patience so be prepared and plan ahead.

but anyway i started with intake and exhaust, from there the mods will change depending on your final goal for the car.

my only advice would be to budget your cash, and enjoy the car. don't be to quick to mod it, i made that mistake on a previous car.it leaves you broke and bored

thanks...I wont starting modding for prolly a couple months at least. I will hopefully be patiant enough with it. I have always wanted a 300 and since this is my first i am really excited. I will prolly do some interior stuff first to get it looking good and then move on to performance and such. thanks again for the tips!!

Check with our sponsors on NICO, should be able to find most parts you need.

As for modifications....basic things like catback exhaust, intake, headers, a good set of NGK plugs, short throw shifter, suspension mods (things like sway bars, coilovers, strut bars) go a long way on the Z32, brake upgrades, etc

Thanx alot...ill start looking into that stuff. I think the first thing im gonna change are the tail lights with some of the stillen clear tail lights. after that ill prolly go with dual exhaust ...i hate only having on pipe. Doesnt look symetrical enogh.

I dont have one yet but i am not going to have to pay for the car myself so sincce i already know the car i am going to get pretty much i want to start researching and learning about some of the easier stuff to install.

Z's already have a dual exhaust. An aftermarket exhaust helps free up some horsepower. If you're looking for real power, a TT is the only way to go, but you're 17 so insurance is going to eat you up which ever way you go.

all Z32's have dual exhaust, if you've got single exhaust you either lost one or you have a Z31 and are posting in the wrong forums?
