Hi all recently i just got pulled over by a cop while driving my 180SX S13
So he gave me an vehicle inspection order, meaning i have to revert everything back to stock.
And so i begin my Operation: Return to stock, however i ran into some trouble.

As you can see here i took my coilsover and replaced with the 240sx Strut, However, The Knuckle to Strut Mounting Point will not match up no matter how hard i press the arm down it won't go down. Are 240sx Strut different then the 180sx??

I Tried putting my jackstand somewhere else beside the tension rod it still the same.
How to fix this weird problem? or are 180sx LOWER to begin with then the 240sx???

Suspension should be the same between the two, you're just having some binding issues with the sway bar or the FLCA mount. Disconnect the sway bar or loosen the FLCA mount. If you do the latter, be sure the car is on the ground before you retighten the mounting bolt.

I am curious, where do you live that you have to have a completely stock car to pass inspection?

Would it be the bind tho? When i use a jack to jack the arms, it will go up, it just doesnt come down enough for the stock struts but thx ill try ur method. I live in Vancouver B.C. Where cops like to hunt down S Chassis. They told me to bring it to NISSAN ONLY for Proper Car inspection. They said everything must be working. Knowing these cars are 23 year old, its tough to pass inspection >: <

You can probably get away with keeping your 180 suspension... typically they don't care about that.

But yeah, what Bart said. Loosen your control arm mounting points and remove the sway bar from the knuckle. Everything should flop around easily at that point. Re-tightening it while it is on the ground ensures your bushings aren't in a bind while you drive.
