Hi all,

Right now I'm running on stock se wheels (195 60R15) (93') with blistein shocks and rsr springs which drops my car for about 1.5 inch from stock. I'm planning to get some wheels that are 16x7 +35 offset with 215 40R16 tires.

Do I need wheel spacers for clearance? I'm still using the stock caliper tho.

Thanks all!

No you will not need spacers for clearance.

I would HIGHLY recommend you do not get those wheels.
Those wheels specs are for a FWD. :X

Thank you!

I'm wondering how can you just tell they are for FWD? Would there be any shortcoming if they are put on a RWD?

Biggest key is the offset. For normal good fitment on a S13 look for 7+ wide and 0 to +20 offset. 8" wide and +15-+20 would be good.

Basically the ones you are looking at will look the same as stock. Stock wheels are around +38.

There are a few wheel/tire calculators that will let you plug in numbers to see how much they will move in/out. Also there are wheel sites where you can see what different wheels will look like on a S13 (or just google search).

^ Yes!

To sum it up without going in debt with calculations. The wider the wheel and the smaller the offset the better it will look.
However be careful if it is too crazy, then you'll need some extra goodies ^_^

Thanks for the reply guys!

I mainly use my car as a DD so I don't know would that make any difference. I do know the tires on the wheels are a bit small tho! The sidewall should be at least 45...

40 series walls on 16 inch rims are a bit small indeed. I did rock that once, and it was too low. 45 series is good :)

Understandable, I'd use any tires if they came with the rims. :P
