Does anyone know anything on the Forced Performance Big28 Turbo? I've read some about it but haven't learned much. I was thinking of using an S15 turbo but then heard of this, I'm kinda shooting for 320-330ish to the wheels. So what do you guys think of this turbo? I'd also be using 256 cams. I heard that the guys at enthalpy say its got some heating issues or something. I'm still thinking of using a GT2871R but idk if I'll have like the money for some of the other parts needed.

GT28R for 300-315whp, GT28RS for 325-350whp, GT2871R .64 for 350-375whp. Dont mess around with the Big28. T25 housing is too small which makes it inneficient. Better off buying one of the above.

yeah Big28 is a mismatched turbo... Was only popular due to lack of selection during the time of its introduction. For a couple more benjis you get a GT2871r.. so I dont see much point in that turbo.

+1 on initial lack of selection. I installed my SR about 6 years ago and had my turbo converted to the Big28 by Turbochargers.com and regretted it once better turbos were made available. Their customer service sucked and they would not honor their 1 year warranty when the center shaft split. When it works, it works well though. It holds 15psi without any issues and gets there with minimal lag. Spool time feels like my buddys WRX with a stock turbo. The wastegate actuator has failed and it frequently wants to overboost to 25+ psi... If I could do it again, I'd go with the Disco Potato. Quick spool and holds enough boost for me.. and has the greatest name in the history of turbos

forced performance sucks, i got a big28 for my dsm , they sent me a cracked exhaust housing with it, tried to return it and they want to charge 20% restocking fee, i would never buy anything from that company again.
