I have a question for the Gurus out there. In my G35, I have the AT and when I'm cruzing on interstate around 70 mph, in "5th" gear, the RPMs are at 2500 and at 60 mph they set at 2100. Is it normally this high??? The reason I'm asking is because Im used to a Murano and cruzing rpms at 60 mph are sub 1500. Granted they probably have different transmissions and gear ratios.

Im just paranoid that something may be wrong with my trans.

Totally different designs of transmission CVT vs 5 AT. The G uses a higher rpm to improve performance at the expense of some MPG.

Yeah I guess you cant have it all... power + economy!

Just reminds me a little of my Cobra when I had those 3.73 gears in it. (8-12mpg)

I believe that the gear is 3.36 for the G SedansWe haven't seen the mpg numbers that are on our window sticker yet.My 97 cobra coupe (sold) got 27 mpg on the hiwayMy current 96 cobra convert gets about 20 hiway/city combined.both have stock 3.27 gears.

I noticed that the V35 Skyline in Japan has the option for the CVT transmission, does anyone know the 0-60/400km times are like with that setup?
