Noob :( piston question

Looked everywere and cant find answer, so far i know the redtop sr has a bore of 86x86 on the pitons so why cant i find forged pistons the same? theyre all like 86.5 or sumthin..sorry just needa know asap..

That is because most of the time when people get that far into a build the engine is no longer fresh, so most owners opt for an overbore rather than mess around measuring the cylinders for wear.

CP Pistons makes pistons that are 86mm for the SR20DET8.5:1CR Part # SC732419.0:1CR Part # SC7324

That being said, if you are going into the engine you really should bore the cylinders to 86.5mm or larger to get a fresh cylinder wall (versus just honing).
