I have a 1986 720 2.4z. I have replaced the stock carb with a weber wk646 model
All I have left is the vacuum advance port and I don't know where to hook it up at or cap it. This is my first vehicle dealing with carbs. Please help

That helped alot in a few areas thank you very much. In the diagram it says to hook up the vacuum advance port directly to the distributor but in the pics he didn't do that. Did I read the diagram wrong? I have a weber wk646 carb. I removed and capped scything he did. Now my engine runs alittle harder and rougher but not too much and now after the "engine cleansing" the truck shakes alittle for about two seconds after shutting off and it didn't do this prior. I absolutey have to go out of town thurday evening and don't want to be stranded. Please help

I have the stock carb and my truck "shakes" or "chugs" a little bit to after I shut it off... I think the term for that is called "dieseling" corrsct me if I'm wrong...I'm not too sure how to answer your question... I have removed several vacuum lines and plugged a couple things but im not completley done yet. My idle screw.has actually fallen out and now has to been plugged cause it was a massive vacuum leak... my idle screw never worked to begin with is the odd thing... I'm planning on upgrading to a webber soon as possible. I don't really know much about carb tuning and would like to get some answers too. Th vacuum line from the distrubuter that connects into the hard line is the only one you should keep I think: well that's what Igot from the pics and diagram. From my knowledge when you get a webber dosent a lot of the stock vacuum stuff get deleted anyway?

Yeah like 90% of the vac lines are removed. I had to switch some stuff around and play with it to cut the dieselling
