OK so i'm SUPER new...

Little bit about me...

My name is Samantha and i'm a car junky... Ihave owned a few VW's, 2 Mustangs and a SRT-4... I have the mod itch... LOL I ended up messin around and now the SRT is no longer with us... But I larned from my mistakes (10K worth of them!)

SO I don't have a Z yet. But I am in the market for one. I am in the Military and last time I came home on leave I drove a black drop top z all the way from San Francisco to LA with the top down and I was hooked. I have never driven a car that felt so stuck to the road and had great responce. I love it.

So now I want one. But I dont know what one I want. I think i'm going to get a hard top as I already have a car in te making thats a drop top.

I have a few questions...

every car has issues... But what are the Z's issues?

I hear the convertable top have issues... How true is this?

WHen test driving what should I look for?

I planto buy new so I hope there isnt alot i should look for.

Also because i'm an addict... Where can I get mods... LOL

Thanks, Samantha

P.S sorry if this is long...

Samantha, glad to see another person snapped by the Z bug. When I went to test drive my car I had been dead set on the new Porsche Cayman S. After I drove my 2007 Grand Touring I have to say I bought the Z because it felt better and was less noissy. If you are buying new, the 07 has had a clutch recall issue and I havent really seen anything worth crying about. The 08 model laso has been quite successful I have a friend who purchaseed one and it has not had any issues yet at 3k miles. Dont know anything about the droptop but have heard of simple issues that were covered under warrranty. Other than that I believe you will be perfectly happy. As far as mods the 07 is getting more and more but i have not seen many on the 08 yet, but they will come, they are pretty easy to find on the net. Simply google 350Z mods, intakes, turbos, etc. Once you buy your Z post up some pics and share the fun with us.

Most Z's have very few problems especially the new ones. For parts search the sponsers.

Welcome to NICO!

The Z33 (350Z) is one of Nissan's most problem free cars. Best of luck on your Z search and thanks for your service to our country!

Thanks guys... I e-mailed my local Nissan dealership, as i want a NEW one... When I got my SRT i know how I drove it, so I know how oter people would drive it. SO unless I bought a car off an old lady it would have to be new... LOL

Anyone know anything about the Nismo? I kinda like it but wat to see it in person I think. If anyone has one please post some pics so I cal check out the body kit on it. I like the wing but not sure about the rest... LOL
