Hey all, Noob here! Figured I'd introduce myself and all that good ****. I frequent a few different forums. I frequent a local 240 forum here in Florida, a GA forum, and 240sxforums. Am originally from Savannah, GA, still have plenty of friends and family there, but currently live Jax, Fl. Am currently an Engineer in the Navy, and go up to Savannah pretty frequently. Anyways, have a 93' 240 HB. It's black with stock black a grey interior. Still currently have the KA with minor upgrades which include, electric fans,(from spec-v), and Apex'i N1 catback. As far as transmission goes, just have a short shifter,(OBX). Have a CA18DET in the garage in Savannah currently that I will be bringing down to Jax shortly and begin rebuilding it and getting it ready to throw in along with the transmission. Mostly have suspension mods which include, Cusco OS front strut bar, Tein HE coilovers, JIC RAS rear strut bar, JIC rear upper control arms, and SPL rear subframe collars. Mods in the works; 5 lug swap, 300z front brake upgrade, and Gram Light 57S's on order. So I guess that's about it ....will post some pics of my ride in the member's ride uplink thread...

I've been pretty pleased with the short shifter....doesn't rattle like the others do...and only costs like 100 bucks as opposed to B&M 250. It noticably shortened the throw to 1st, 3rd, and 5th for the most part. Shortened 2nd, and 4th a good bit but not as much as the B&M does. Even still, it's not that noticable, and for the price in my opinion it'll do just fine. Assembly was easy and strait forward, and the parts are good quality. I would say go for it and get one.

Welcome to Nico!

So the Navy has no beef about you surfing the web? or are you posting from home?

Also, isn't Savannah the location of "Run Forest! Run!"? Or was that somewhere else?

I'm posting from home; Navy doesn't care as long as it's on my lunch break......and yes, Forest Gump was filmed in downtown Savannah.....some of it...

Nice write up....I already have the Pivot Controller though. Just didn't have them lazy in the pics. I have problems with the Pivot Controller though....when I set it to a certain degree, and close them normally they don't go down evenly, (one is higher than the other),....which is lame. Have thought about taking it back out and selling it....don't know though. I have to mess with it to get them to go down evenly. I'm thinkin that it may be b/c I didn't wire it to a constant power source....may wire it to one and see if that cures it. I will mess with it eventually....it's not at the top of my list of things to do right now though...

Oh yeah , and STM, on that write up, the second wire that you cut to install the toggle switch, will that effect the function of the column switch? Seems like it would. May experiment with it...

I was saying His 93 is much faster then MY 91. If I don't get some money soon to put back into the car my 91 will fall apart... piece by piece.

by the way where is that 'easy' red button I see allot on commercials? I could use one.. or two... or three...

See now... all NICO "Noobs" take note... this is how you make your introduction, haha. Dont come out asking about CA vs SR, come out and show a sweeet car. Good luck on your future mods bro, and keep that thing clean like it is.

Yeah....oh well....I'll experiment with them eventually and get them like I want them.....right now I'm just going to concentrate on the motor build for the most part...

+1

Though I'll admit that my first post here was about restoring my dash lights after shorting my cigarette lighter out.... hmm. Very noob. LOL.
