On my 03 sedan, can i use the z tube with my oem airbox? I would like to stay as stock looking under the hood as possible. Are the gains from the z tube alone even worth doing if im not going to switch from a oem airbox?

What else is interchangeable between coupes and sedans, and z? My buddy has a coupe with stock rims he will sell for cheap. Also a dash? I dont know whats different between dashes....

Thanks!

Wheels are decent. Dunno if you will get anymore than looks from them.

Dashboard will be a hellof a task, and that's understating it. Not sure if the airbags will be compliant from system to system.

The Ztube will give you a couple extra horses. Not sure if you'll notice it or not. It will change the sound also. It will make it a little bit louder, and more growly/throaty.

thanks for the reply. I really doubt i will be swapping dashes...just curious. So the rims should fit...cool. If he sells for a reasonable price(like 200 bux) i will take em..otherwise im saving for some staggered 19s i saw on ebay for 600....

I'd recommend that you get the Z tube. With the sedan, i'd also upgrade to the Stillen Intake box. I got the JWT pop charger, which i like, but after i bought it I heard that the Stillen performs better for the Sedans.

You'll like the sound when you gas it hard, plus it give it more power.

If you have the AUTO, get the grounding wires. You'll not be disappointed.

careful with staggering. i don't think the sedans can take more than 8.5 inches in the front or rear.

z-tube's ok but partnered with the Stillen air box they make quite a difference.

i wil research the stillen airbox. In socal especially where i live, cops tend to pop hoods, if they suspect mods..everything i put on this car must appear stcok under the hood. ive been sent to the state smog referee twice in my old cars, and i wont go back a third time. Please elaborate on staggered rims, and offsets if possible. thanks!

For an automatic, grounding kits will improve shift "crispness" and throttle response. Many have done this mod, and they all agree that it's one of the best mods for the AUTO G35's.

The OEM grounds use braided ribbon's to ground the electrical components (throttle body, ECU, TRANS) to the engine. The addition of actual 8 gage wire will help fix the deficiency.

I have the stillen ztube and stillen intake box. It looks stock and has a CARB # on it saying that it is legal in all 50 states. Honestly if most people popped the hood and saw the stillen intake they wouldent know the difference. It has a nice plastic cover that looks like a stock intake box and even uses stock vents to bring in cold air. You will love it.

Also cops don't like hondas, they are less likely to pull over a g35. It is a luxary car that is usually driven by people who have money. Cops usually leave g35s alone.

cool thanks...i agree about the cops pulling over the g being less likely. But i try and learn from things, and the stealthier the mod, the better i feal. Im thinkin z tube to stock airbox for now, i just bought a drop in knn. Next a blox spacer, and then the rims...possible grounding kit, if i keep reading good things about it.

Try Grounding kit, Stillen engine damper, plenum spacer, and underdrive pulleys(brand name only, like unorthidox racing or ame)

its funny you guys use parts like the grounding kit, and underdrive pulleys that are proven not to work on hondas...yet everyone on this site seams to be swearing by these mods. Its a whole new world....

I think it is due to the difference on v6 and v4. Just like how superchargers on 4 bangers don't work well but can be pretty powerful on the vq35 engine. Maybe the 4 bangers just aren't powerful enough to notice the gains.

I have the grounding kit but its has just been sitting in my trunk, haven't installed them yet so i can't give my testimony on them. But the pulleys make a huge difference, not in gains but in engine response. Just make sure you get a respectable name.
