noob front-end question

so I gather only turbos have intercoolers?

so what does a non-turbo have in that space? i ask cause im looking at some front ends, that have a nice big gap in the center. every pic i see shows the intecooler behind it. but how will that look for me?

Um there are air intakes there that direct air into the air box, however they do not occupy the entire space either. The aero of the body directs that dead area air flow into the engine bay and against the sides of the radiator then.

To answer you, nothing is really there

However ANY of these aftermarket bumpers will fit on any Z32, the structure is essentially the same. I have a bumper like that one in the pic, sorta. The mesh just adds some protection from debris and makes a "center intercooler look" to it even if you have a NA.
