Noob Engine question

Hey Im a bit of a newb to this cars , and just cant find what Im lookin for at all..Im about to buy a 95 200sx se-r and the engine is new-ish but its still the 2.0...so what model engine is this two litre?

Should be an SR20DE.

So is that basically the non turbo version of the japanese engine, or are there other changes as well?

Yes and yes. Not sure of the exact differences, but I'm sure all of that information is on here. Or, maybe someone else can chime in with that.

Yeah Im trying to go thru all the information but its overwhelming..Im not even sure what the whole deal with transverse is..is it because these sr's are for fwd rather than rwd? So what are the turbo options for these..the guy Im buying from says I can get it turbod at a local shop and make three fifty to the wheels...I dont know a lot about these engines but I doubt it haha, hes talking 15-20 lbs too, can the internals even handle that?

Stock USDM SR20DE, doubtful.

15 is fine, 20 would be a big stretch, depending on turbo size as well (T28 15lbs, not too shabby). Compression test will give you more gauge.
