noob auto trans ?

If you take the driveshaft out of an auto trans does the fluid come out? Im helping a friend swap ka's and ive only worked on manuals.

Drain the fluid before you take the driveshaft out.

None came out for me, of course I drained it first so I don't know if any comes out if it is still full.

I would assume so, since some form of lubrication has to go onto the input shaft of the driveshaft
