When replacing the headunit on a 2003 SE model with BOSE sound, is there anything wierd you have to replace along with it?I know on most cars its just plug and play, but didnt know if anything had to be done since there is the factory amp in the back etc etc

thanks in advance

its not simply plug and play, youll need a wiring harness to connect factory wires to the new deck. Also i was never able to power my door speakers with the headunits amp, you have to enable the fatory amps...which from my knowledge are located inside door(s). To enable them all you need to do is splice the remote turn on wire together (just one wire.....look for schematics on installdr.com) in general its a blue wire

nope thats it! keep your stock brackets from your stock headunit, you need those to mount your aftermarket cd and also to install a cover/pocket kit around it (to not have a huge hole)

dont be scared with the factory amp......its just one wire and your factory system will work. I didnt have sound when i first installed my deck then realized it was just that one wire connected in wrong place.....antenna turn on where it should have been remote power on (which is spliced with my subwoofer amp too)
