Well to start, you are leaking coolant. Try to find the leak and fix that first. Figuring out the codes is not that hard so I would say try again and let us know what you came up with. The codes just reapeat over and over so you have plenty of time to write them down. First set of blinks is the first digit and the second set is the second digit.

Besides for that, try using our search function, it's in the upper right and you might be able to find answer to your question. Also look in our nissan tech forum.

well, search first next time bud, cuz this answer is everywhere

but since when i bought my first 240 the same **** was goin down ill help you, even though i should be studying for my thermal dynamics engineering exam tomorrow....

you're screwed, sorry that sucks and i know it sucks. i bought the car, replaced the headgasket cuz it made sense, still over heated so i rolled it. It blew a hole in the radiator. eventually after problems with another car and a head swap i had done another head gasket on this car, still no go.

youve overheated that car so many times you've almost definately got ablown head gasket, probably a warped head, maybe a warped block, or some cracks.

does the car smoke? when does it smoke. what does the temp gauge do? how long does it usually overheat for. does the overflow tank gurgle, is your fan clutch okay, how bout the electric fan?

either way from how it sounds, unless its jsut something small like a leak somewhere, which you should look for, i bet chances are you need to pull that head off and inspect it

it is either useless or it can be planed, and the block can be decked by hand no biggie there, but its possible you only need a new head gasket too, but it all depends on how much overheating has been done

don't mean to scare you or anything, but i lived it for a while, and at one point i didnt have a choice but to roll that car 20 miles a day while it smoked out the overflow tank, just to get to class

Just to let you know Kyle (this is Steve), I can most likely sell you my engine (or parts of the engine) here pretty soon (If you want to go that route). Let me know.

P.S. Welcome to NICO

sell the engine and get another one. by the time you have diagnosed the problem, paid to get it fixed, and then realized you still have a problem, you could have swapped in a newer ka and saved yourself some time and money. sucks, but its the trooth.

but i like how you purposely misspelled the "ninety" in your name... pretty funny dude.

ya thanks for the comment on the name..the car doesnt smoke, nor is there coolant in the oil or its milky in the radiator..my car ran fine for a while till i was on the free way and my raditaor cap blew off..there is no thermostat in the car either..cause of the over heating problem..maybe i got lucky and just need to flush the system? oh and the car only gets hot underload.

if your car is dying between shifts, thats never a good sign. because your block is iron and the head is aluminum, its easy for the head to warp when you put that kind of strain on it. it only has to warp about .008 inches before its no good, according to nissan.

your head is done. get a new engine. its cheaper than buying a head and pulling your engine apart and replacing all that stuff... if youre paying someone else to do it at least.
