Noob 08 G35 Sedan. Ipod charge and auto window up question

Just inherited my 2008 sedan from my wife. Red with Premium and Nav. STF's and found some cryptic notes about both questions, so I'm posting at the risk of being flamed for not searching well enough.

First, I have a 4th gen Nano. Her 3rd gen charged fine. Mine does not. Do I just need a new cable or something? From the dealer maybe?

Second, the windows no longer automatically roll up. They go down in one flick, but not up. Like my lazy a** is actually going to hold the button to make them go all the way up. More cryptic notes about this in the forums. I'm not taking the door panels off a car still under warranty if I can help it. Is this a simple warranty job or what?

As for the IPOD question, I'll wait for someone else to chime in as I have yet to hook anything up. I'm still in the stone ages and use my CD player..

As for the windows, a tech may chime in. That doesn't really make sense to me. Is the dealer far from you? Could be a bad switch.

To be clear on the window, I click it once and it goes down all by its self, but I have to hold it to go back up.

This thing has so many ways to play music, I don't know where to start. Why oh why did they put a dumb cd changer in the trunk though?

Here is the deal.

The ipod question. The 3rd gen was ment to be charge the 4th and up needs different cable. Search on internet for Scosche adapter it cost around $30 and it will do the trick for you.

Windows you have to reset it. Most likely your battery was disconected. That's how usually gets screwed yup. All you have to do is make sure all the windows are rolled up. Then hold down the buttom wait till it goes down all the way stillhold it down for few seconds after it is all the way down. Than hold the buttom and roll it up. Kepp holding it for few more seconds after it rolled up. That should do the trick.

BTW without Navi you got the cd changer in the dash. But with Navi there isn't much room left. Who needs cd changer these dys anyway. LOL

Thanks guys. Ordered the Scosche unit, and fixed the windows. I'm all set! Will get some pictures up after I get a tint on those windows and put good wash and shine on it. We've had this car almost 2 years and it is still virtually spotless.

Man, this is a sweet car. Major improvement over my last one, a 2002 Audi A4 1.8t.

Yeap only Audi worth mention is the S line or the RS.
