Instead of paying 100 + dollars for the Nissan carpeted floormats is there anyplace I can get some CARPETED (not rubber) floormats that will fit right into the Versa like or as close as possible to the originals? Any ideas/suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks!!!

I haven't looked lately (I always use OEM mats on modern vehicles because they have the hole to fit over the locking hook that prevents slipping of the driver's mat).. but when I used to buy them, Kraco brand mats from Checker/Schucks/Kragen (Parts America) fit my old Subarus well...

Though since you don't have your Versa yet, you should EASILY be able to get the dealer to throw in a free set of OEM mats in the deal.

I agree. I've never bought a car without getting the floor mats thrown in.

There's a non-OEM floormat set on ebay for $46.95: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWD1V

There is also a Nissan dealer's parts department offering the charcoal floor mats for $90: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWD1V. In their listing for the charcoal color cargo area floor mat they indicate to specify the color, so I suspect that if you contact them they would have the beige floor mats, probably for the same price.

Sales gal told me today that she was sure that floormats came WITH the car! Another site :http://www.nissanhelp.com/Models/2007/V ... iption.htm said that the floormats and Versa door plate was installed "at port".

Pretty sure floor mats and splash guards are "mandatory" options to pad the manufacturer's and dealers' profit. I don't think I have seen a Versa without those options in nearby dealers' inventory.

The mats aren't in by default. It's an option that has to be paid by the dealer. If they are included, either the dealer already calculated it into the cost or the dealer will pay for them and you get them free. I've seen a lot of V's for sale that didn't have any mats at all and mats were not listed on the sticker. I've never seen a V for sale here that has splash guards. At port means that the option isn't installed at the factory but is installed at the rail depot, port, or on site with the dealer. Make sure the mats that the sales person is talking about aren't the cheap rubber or carpet mats that they give with cars because you bought one from them. Make sure they are the official V mats.

<---- Got official V mats for free with car purchase

<---- Got official V splash guards for free when ACSD switch went wonky after less than 24 hours.
