I have been reading a 128 page document for the second time (Hard for someone with only 20 books in his book case) by Q45Tech. I never though a little oil could affect the plenum in such a way (Make it smaller inside by a little).

I heard from somewhere I think Q45Tech may have said this that Ford uses a non stick coating on its MAF sensors. So with some serious driving you can clean it, instead of using electrical parts cleaner.

Could we use a coating for the plenum, Throttle Body (maybe) and Runners (Top part as the bottom part are cleaned by injectors).

As well all know I am very lazy but many would benefit from this. Even if this didn't keep it clean like new it would help the cleaning process, right?

i read your post and thought maybe a nonstick paint used in cookware might work, but i can't seem to find any repair or paint kits at all for it.

Generally the only time oil/soot/grime on a throttle plate affects things is at warm idle when only a few grams per second of air is flowing under the plate into engine.

Same with intake valve stem where fuel additives bake on and change the diameter slightly during low lift portions.

Why really strong chemicals [BG Induction cleaner solvents] can change idle air flow.

Cleaning inside TB, plenum, runner just means less crud goes onto valves and pistons [increasing CR] and creating points where preignition can begin.

I ran a manufacturing business that applied Teflon paint to our parts. The paint is noxious and must be baked at high temperature to cure. During the curing process, poisonous fumes are given off. Not the kind of project for DIY.

Also, the MAF sensor is calibrated while clean. Adding a non-stick coating would probably add more weight than the coating you are trying to prevent.

Group buy?

I won't apply it to the MAF because (From what I hear) a new air filter (yearly or better) can keep the MAF cleaner than using electrical parts cleaner, That has a bigger chance of messing the MAF up if not used correctly.
