I just sorta stumbled upon these things a few days ago after searching high and low to find them for months...I wasn't really wanting anything i CF, but it's the only way they make it.

I talked to one of the guys at C-Wings (forget his name) and he said that they are in the process of developing another kit that will use 2 separate rectangular headlights, and have a clear plastic cover for the kit. He also said that the openings for the lights are 2 1/4" in diameter, but that the lights used in the picture are not made anymore, and it's getting to be really hard to find any fogs that are 2 1/4" diameter.

Not sure how big i am on the rectangular light look....I would like to see a prototype before i make up my mind, but i think i will likely buy these, and try to make a clear cover for them myself, since I don't really want anything to shatter one of my fogs.

Wow they look great - the first picture looks like they *do* have a clear cover. But yeah, I would definately want a cover. Two seperate sizes would look nice too, like projector immitations.

Anyone know how the DOT feels about something like this?? I mean can you just up and use foglights for headlights?? <shrug> I have no idea what their requirements are for headlights.

Looks better then the Baer set IMHO which sells for 3-4x those.

Sometimes the people on the boards make me sooooo happy! $300 bucks for headlights, that is sooo awesome. I am overjoyed as I have always wanted East Bears but have never wanted to blow 850 on a set. You're the man now dog.

No, you buy them as per what the site said:"This is designed to use round fog lights or your choice, compatible with most types, please see detailed pictures to understand how they will mount to the base. Designed for FET mini lights." They don't look like they have a clear cover either, the last photo is telling.IMHO using fog lights for headlights is going to give you a horrible field of vision. Fog lights are designed augment your headlight's spread, not as stand alone lights. They do make driving lights in the same format as 2 1/4" fog lights, but those are still not ment as stand alone lights. These would be ok for a show car, or a city car where there is always ambient road light, but not for someone in a ho-dunk country town.Of course, real carbon fiber is extremely sexy.

Very nice, I can see theym on a 2 tone grey coupe :D.

Looks like they're selling the "housings" only.

I did see a post about a guy that made his own "version" of that. He took the flip up's off and welded some metal in place to sqaure off the front of the hood.

:rotflmao So says Sean Connery

I have to agree with Radian, Foglights as primary lighting is uber bad. Aren't the EastBears expensive because they're projector lights? Don't remember. They don't look too shabby though.

Me, i like my sleepy eyes

Well i want to make a kit like the clearcorners. its going to use 2 90mm projectors. If everything works out i am going to sale the complet kit. It will also alter the lifting arms so that the lights only come up to a sleepy eye location that the beams are setup for. It will most likely be a carbon housing also.

That ebay set looks like the stock headlight with a cover over it to make it into 2 circles (like those headlight cover things they sell)

No, I am referring to the "I cut the brown wire on the headlight switch" sleepy eyes. For real...spend money where it counts not on gratuitous body mods (ie rice).

I want to make them look pretty close to these. They are made by ClearCorners. there base kit cost 1k and the HID kit is 1.8k. If everything pans out as i plan i think i could sale the normal projector kit for around 600, and the HID for around 1k-1.1k all the stuff for HID is expensive. the lights will be more equaly spaced, and i want to try and make it closed as much as posable. once i have them made i might try to make some flush mounted head lights, but i would most lilkly run a clear cover and they would look a little like the newer NSX head lights with the bumps over the lights (but thats still aways off)

I wanna get the CF one and get hella OEM HID Projectors, mmmm, great lighting, but i would also want a clear cover, maybe tint it a bit, it might cause a bit of glare, but its alot better than running foglights.
