Hey all.

I'm leasing an 08 Rogue SL. I want to mount my iPod in the recess to the right of the steering column (to the left of the center dash portion).

I need it to be non-permanent. I was thinking of two things:1) I think I can fashion a metal piece and "hook" it around the lower part of the dash (there's a seam where two pieces fit together.2) Some kind of adhesive that won't leave marks/residue.

I like this place because you won't be able to see it from outside the vehicle.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,

-Tim

Without any research, I would say use some kind of adhesive. Rubbing alcohol or Goo-b-gone can normally remove any adhesive left behind.

How about these? http://www.pro-fit-intl.com/universal.html

Thanks. It's good to know I can probably get the adhesive off.

I wonder how hard it will be to take the mount off?

Thanks for the link too. Pretty cheap (compared to other places Google has taken me). Looks like http://www.pro-fit-intl.com/loboy/ is just what I need.

3M and can be removed without leaving a messy residue, sounds perfect

Do a search on ebay for beanbag mount. They are for portable GPS units but should work just as well for an Ipod as long as you have the window mount.

Actually, I'll already be using a bean-bag mount for a GPS. I wanted something a bit more permanent for my iPod.

I just ordered a "miMount/Loboy" combo from pro-fit (http://www.pro-fit-intl.com/mimount/). Looks like it will work just fine.
