We had a ****load of rain recently, and the wabash river has beat 100 year old flood records. . it should be higher today, but these were taken yesterday. . . river was somewhere around 29 foot or so. . 11 foot is when problems begin.

(btw sorry for resizing them all to 800x600, but I doan have the space)

There's pics of the view from US 231 (crossing river from Lafayette into W. Laf [near Purdue University]), pics of the golf course off hwy 52, and pics of Williamsburg apartments

The ramp I'm on goes down another 6 feet or so, and alt. varies in that valley from 6 foot to 8 foot lower

The sign on this old bridge read: Danger: Bridge not safe during periods of high water. . . haha I was like "**** that" water was almost touching it.

They are all still huge on my pc. I saw most of the first pic, and that was a LOT of water.

WOW.

Looks like a beautiful area, aside from the devastation the flooding has caused....

I assume it does. . I'm fine up here tho. . I'm on the top of a hill hehe. . it'd cover ALL of West Lafayette / Purdue University before I'd have to worry :)

Never been this bad in my lifetime. . . this hasn't been this bad in 100 years or more.

Yep. Indiana is kinda wet right now and there is apparently more on the way. It's funny how the slack-jawed, NASCAR-worshiping simpletons like to go out and play in the standing water and not having any idea why that could be bad. Anyone notice the dumpster half-submerged? Hehe...

hahahah werd. . hey. . you been over there? you can see a current by those dumpers!!! It's VERY strong. . yeah. . the rednecks go "Hell my truck can go through that" sure it can, if the water was STILL.

That'd be a nightmare to get sucked out into that river. . taking that pic from that rusty old POS bridge scared the hell out of me. . that's as close to the water as I'd wanna get .. it seriously scared me haha. .

I am getting sick of all this rain. No flooding here in the eastside of Indy. Can't say that for where my inlaws are located.
