For your viewing pleasure... Here's a shot of Ken Nomura's US D1GP R34 RB26DET we took after the July 14 2007 D1GP event in Las Vegas. I found it interesting to study, so I thought I'd share it with you fellow RB fanatics... He told us it's RB26DETT bottom end with an RB25DET head. I don't have any other details, sorry..

That looks sweet.

I do find it a little strange that it's a RB25 head and not just cam covers, because the RB26 ITB setup doesn't bolt on to the RB25 head w/o an adapter. Maybe it's there, I can't tell. Also it's a little strange that they retained the clutch fan, especially with so much heat build-up from drifting.

That setup seems about as goofy as he is!

no ITBs there, big single throttle. He might use the RB25 head for the smaller ports.

smaller ports would equal higher air velocities which would equal better engine response.as for the clutch fan, they cool better than any efan setup can...alot of drift cars retain them simply because they have the ability to constantly pull air as well as varying ammounts.

Turbo mag. July 06I still have the magazine that did a write up on that car, and they said it was a neo 25 engine all the way. "Under the Hood"Engine: RB25DETDisplacement: 2770 ccBore/Stroke: 87x77.7mmyada yada (more than I feel like typing)

Rb26DETT intake manifold, installed using a special Blitz manifold adapter.continuing on but I don't feel like typing the whole thing.

If you want to know any specs lemme know and I will post them.

I compared pics and they have switched manifolds/throttle bodies since them. But the rest looks the same.

...ummmm yah blitz makes the adapter plates for rb25 to rb26 intake and exhaust mani's....and it seems its a rb27... i myself am running one..a r33gtr crank, eagle H-beam rods, wiesco 87.25mm pistons....etcand the clutch fan, will pull way more air than an electric, as stated above, mostly cause they have shrouds.. .
