The OEM ones are protected fuel hose clamps. They don't allow the drive part of the clamp to contact the hose.NolimitZ32 wrote:Are you talking about the non-slotted screw clamps? the ones that have depressions in them? I guess i should use those to be safe.
They're available at Courtesy or any other Nissan dealer.NolimitZ32 wrote:Thats what I was thinking, I guess I'm gonna have to find some. I would've never though of this, good call.
Yeah, I learned the hard way not to use those clamps, 5:00 in the morning I'm getting ready to leave for work and the car just cranks and won't turn over. Massive fuel leak from a cut fuel hose. Culprit? The clamp.BigTDogg (MA) wrote:

I'll check my garage tomorrow to see how many I have, I know I have/had a bunch left over, and I could sell them for less than the $2.69 each Courtesy is charging.
You can also get generic ones at local autoparts stores, but they may not be stainless steel.
The kind of clamp you don't want to use is pictured below:
Those grooves can tear into the fuel hose when tightening, and yeah, that's bad.

Werd, no prob. I just hate to see ZBBQs, and you mentioned the stainless overcovers, and I know they come with the crappy worm hoses.NolimitZ32 wrote:Ive actually got a ton of the smooth ones, i totaly forgot, i bought a huge hose clamp kit from autozone and its got those in there. thanks man.
