Hey guys, how's it going? I'm writing this topic very quickly due my limited time!

okay, here's the thing;
Recently, I've installed Performance Test Pipes, custom X-Pipe (non-brand) along with the stock OEM mufflers.

the sound loudness is doing pretty good and balanced so far, but the thing is that I didn't like the sound style that comes out, I couldn't record the sound yet, but it's sounds so funny when I accelerate, it sounds like either:

GRGRGRGRGRGRGRGRGRGRGRGRGRGGRRGGRGRGRGRGGRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!

or

FGFGFGFGFGGFGFGFGFGFGGFGFGFGFGFGFGFG!!!!!!

I don't know if you understood it or not, however it sounds BAD! therefore I need to remove this sound completely.

Is it from the Performance Test Pips or the stock OEM mufflers sound?

cheers!

My exhaust makes sound too, I think it's the engine on the other end.

I'll recheck somethings and I'll come back later with an update.

Test pipes allow for a lot of rasp in the exhaust.

Okay guys,
Yesterday, I took my car to an exhaust mechanic, he told me it's a filter installed in the exhaust system, so I told him to remove it, I'm almost finished with my job, then I'll head up to check it out, he might've finished it, but I'll come to him as a surprise to see how far he went, so stay tuned.

Not sure what he would mean by filter in the exhaust.
Cat? Resonator? Muffler?

Filter is probably his "special" translation of cat.

I suppose if the OP understands it, that works....

X-pipe should lower the sound of rasp that is produced by test pipes. :yesnod

If that's the case, most mechanics will not remove them for obvious reasons.

Resurrection of old posts continues!

Finally I've understood that that loose change sound happening after I've added Megan resonated test pipes (RTP) is called rasp . So now I have Megan RTP, stock Y pipe, stock mid pipe and Megan axle backs (with burned tips). Very much want to get rid of rasp/loose change sound, so I've researched that stock Y-pipe has to go then. Hence questions: will having Megan (RTP + Y-pipe) + stock mid pipe + Megan axle backs eliminate/considerably decrease rasp? Or should I change mid pipe as well and go full Megan? G37 Y-pipe seems to be bolt on for M35 VQ35DE as well right? Trying to keep budget low, keep my loved Infiniti burble and sound level moderate.
