Hey guys!Well I had a problem where my power steering pully was always making noises and it ended up seizing on me a month ago...I ended up buying a new one at the dealershipfor big $$ considering its just a pully and a bearing. So its brand new Nissan pully...works like a charm but I bought my belt at Auto Value...and its made in France. I know its that belt making a almost slight whistle noise at idle and all RPMs. Now I just spray some belt dressing on that and its fine. No more sounds. But I have to do this almost every 2-3 days. That gets annoying...the noise is bearable tho , so my question is is there any way to solve this. BTW I've tightened and loosened the belt many times and it just changes the pitch of the noise, but doesnt get rid of it..I wanna get rid of it once and for all. Please help guys

try throwing on a factory belt. that old belt may be glazed

I'm just curious what does "glazed" mean and can it mess up anything?

no it will just be annoying. glazed means the surface of the belt has heated up and become hardened allowing it to slip and make noise. Its gripping ability becomes diminished as a result.

Thanks Nistech, I'm just gonna bypass that "thank nistech thread" and than thank you right here and now. You've been only nice and considerate towards me even if my questions have been stupid. You are credit to us<noobs & gurus> all!!!

look at it from my point of veiw. almost everybodies questions are noob questions to me. And I stress "almost" cause there are other nissan techs here and there that deal with nissans as much as I do.
