Hey dudes, got another question for the guys that have have d21s for a while. As you know i got my first d21 a few months ago. when I got I noticed a sound in the engne. Mind you that I have heard Nissans making this nose before. It sounds like lifters rattling at higher rpms. I hear talk of the knock sensors all the time. Could this be the knock that I am hearing?

naps-z and ka24e engines aren't supposed to be quiet like a Bentley engine, even when they're running right. I havent had any problems with the knock sensors on either my 87 or 97 HB. The rockers are adjustable for your naps-z engine, and could be adjusted if you haven't already. Most of the knock sensors I hear about are on vg33 engines.

PS, if you do adjust your rockers, I have some tips for you.

Just so I'm not steering you the wrong way, there is a difference between the normal clatter of the engine, and a big loud knock.
