So here's the situation when I turn the steering wheel rapidly at slow speeds like when parking I get this rumbling noise from the wheels. I am not sure if this is something to do with the tires or with the power steering. This is in a new 2007 Sentra SE R.

The dealer just said mention it when I do my first oil change but I'd like to know if I should do something about it sooner. Not sure if it's just the tires which some people have suggested it is. It all has to do with the rate at which I turn the wheel. If I do it slower it doesn't make a noise.

If it is the tires then well what's wrong with these continental tires that makes them do this? I have never encountered this before in any other cars.

BTW tires are inflated correctly.

Take it back to the dealer. The new Sentra's have been having some problems with the electronic steering systems. It could be something of that nature but why wait and take chances when it's a brand new car?

Well it seems like a common problem.

Just back from the dealer. Needs steering rack replaced. Hopefully it'll fix the noise.
