Noise when fully turning in either direction - 2008 M45 Sport

Im not sure if this is normal or not...but when Im driving slowly and turn my steering all the way either left or right, I here a weird noise...it sounds like road noise from the tire...or it could be something rubbing...its not very loud but definately noticeable. Im not sure if this is just the tire noise but if anyone knows what this could be....let me know....thanks!

I am having the same trouble, except just on the right side when turning right. The dealership says it is not a problem, but it does not sound right. 2006 M35x. Any help would be appreciated.

I also have an 2006 M35X that makes a strange noise when turning right at a slow speed.

I have a 2007 M35 sport that does the exact same thing. I've only had it two weeks.

Does anyone know what is the cause of this? It is really annoying, but the dealership says that it is normal.

I had this exact problem on my I30. When I would turn the wheel hard to the right there would be a rubbing-type noise coming from the driver's side wheel. The solution was to replace the steering bump stop caps, which apparently are made of plastic and can break easily. I don't know how applicable this is to the M, but it may be a direction to look in.

My 07 M35x makes a werid noise when i turn hard left or right as well, but only happens on the first turn and then it doesn't happen again until i start the car back up.

Yeah, I just picked up a 06 M45 sport past weekend (23800 miles).I also noticed the rubbing type of noise. Does sound like something is rubbing against something.I guess I'll look into the 'bump stop cap'.Hope there's more who can help on this topic

2003 m45I have the same problem, only when turning to the right. Feels like creek sound which I thought was coming either from the tire or the steering column. I finally isolated the problem to be coming from under the driver seat. Whenever I turn to the right, there is a slight lean of the seat to the left which makes for the creek sound. I hope this helps....

I too have the same problem. I purchased a 2008 M35x and it has a rubbing feeling and moan when turning to the right or backing up to the right, but only on the first turn. For example, turning down the driveway. The dealership could not reproduce the sound but thinks it is the ABS, which they say does some sort of test when you first start your car.

My sunroof also squeaks; still after 4 attempts to repair it. Anybody have any suggestions?

Same here, my sunroof when tilted up squeeks on bumps and my subwoofer panel rattles when listening to music at low to moderate volumes...very annoying....i will be bringing it in for the dealer to check it out sometime next week....
