Noise/Vibration getting worse

My yoko es 100's probably have around 8000 miles at the most but i'm defintily hearing very noticible road noise at all speeds. do tires get more or less noisy as they wear???? the tires were only balanced when installed and i know dennis has mentioned that new tires can slip on the rims throwing the balance out of wack. just wondering if tires get more noisy as they wear or if this sounds like a balance problem?thanks

I know that when I got my someone lower line firestones balanced, it seemed to get slightly, but noticeably quieter......

Tires definately make more noise as they get older... What's the load rating on your tires?

off the top of my head,,,,96w. but it has way less than 10k miles on then, closer to 5k probably (my odometer only works sometimes so it's hard to keep an accurate reading but, she's only driven 2-3 times a week with most trips under 10 miles).

Most inexpensive and many expensive tires are designed to meet tests which have a running limit of 7,500 miles! Engineers have learned to TUNE tire noise so it's quiet during those test. Unfortunately the EXTRA quietness comes with extra loudness after the tread depth starts to change significantly ................a tuned slot [the tread depth] -v-v-v-
