I have 2007 Infiniti M45 . Only less than 27000 miles on the odometer. When cold start my car there is small ticking noise then stops but if you increase the throttle it iwill increase in sound. You can hear it only from the left front side . The dealer doesn`t know what this is? Any help.

Since 2002 redesign these light duty engines have been more problematic since Nissan didn't overbuild to add strength.

Thinner rings, bearings, and everything optimized by massive computer time to cut costs.
Sure the engine is a little bit more powerful than the old monster, but it does so by reducing longevity and quietness.

To prolong life make sure you never drive away until the engine is fully warmed to operating temperature especially in colder than 70F ambient weather.

Failure to follow this advice will take decades and hundreds of thousand miles miles off of peak life.

But then again I'm probably the only one that owns the same vehicle for 20 years and 327,000 miles.

The weather here is above 104F . And i let the car warm up 10min then i drive it , but i don`t know whats the noise is about? It comes only if the car is not at operating tempreature.

What about previous weeks months years since brand new?
Once damage is done nothing in a can can cure it.

:) the dealership discovered the problem. It is the camshaft chain need to be tensioned. But they said that it will take approx. one week.
