Have you guys experienced to hear the rattle from the joint of the dash components when hitting the small bump on the road. It really bothers me.

I heard this too.

Have you heard the click from the top dash panel, from the joint of dash components by extrusion when the car is one a not well paved road?

Check the sunglasses holder if you have it. It rattles and sounds like its coming from the dash. I still haven't stopped mine from rattling yet, it drives me crazy at times.

Hmm... no rattles from inside my dash. It's even been apart and put back together twice and still no rattles.

i get a squeek way of front of the dash on the right side when I'm on bad roads (I live on gravel, so that can be often--expecially when the road is washed out by storms).

Also, the sunglass holder is my nightmare. Good god does that make noise! My best solution so far is to put two pairs of sunglasses in it, then there isn't enough room for either to move around too much. Only works in cloudy weather. Unless you have 3 pairs of sunglasses.

I'm trying to figure out if I could put a small wad of cloth or something in there to take up some room.

Anyone getting a squeek up near the top middle of the windshield? Like where the glass joins the adhesive? I can't figure this one out at all. Thought it might be my rearview mirror wiggling, but not so sure.

I only had one small rattle and it was coming from the bezel around the sunglass holder and map lights. I actually folded a business card and slid it deep into the crack where the bezel meets the headliner and it stopped, and you can't even see the card there because it's deep inside. Actually, compared to my Chevy HHR, the inside of the V is quiet. That thing squeaks like an old wooden floor when I'm driving it. As long as they keep using those crappy plastic interiors, I'll never buy another GM vehicle again!

I too have been VERY disappointed by the squeaks of "Plastic on Plastic" emanating from the dash, especially on relatively cool days. When the car has been sitting in the sun for awhile, the plastic seems to swell up enough to almost stop the problem. It is especially noticeable in the Versa because it is essentially a pretty quiet little car. Can't blame it on the Mexicans. I previously owned two Chrysler PT Cruisers (one a hi output turbo). Neither of those cars had a single rattle in the interior from time of delivery to trade-in and both were assembled in Mexico. The turbo especially had every right to complain as I drove the $hit out of it most of the time because it was so much fun. Nothing came loose after 4 years and 45,000 miles. Impressive! If the lease buyout had borne some semblance to market reality, I would have bought it out but my buyout price was about $4,000 too high so I walked. It was the PT Cruiser's interior comfort which led me to the Versa. Seat height, entry/exit ease, headroom, legroom, etc. are all similar. The PT Cruiser's versality blows the Versa away but I was getting tired of moving everybody's stuff around anyway so I can live with the Versa's less than stellar cargo capacity.

I'm actually somewhat dreading the forthcoming winter with the Versa from a noise standpoint. I expect some pretty creaky mornings. I still like the car overall though. It's VERY quiet on the highway with the low engine rpms offered up by the CVT transmission. 2,100 rpms at 60 mph is pretty much unheard of in a 1.8 liter engine. By contrast, the 6 speed Versa is turning nearly 3,000 rpms at the same speed. That would suggest about 50% longer engine life with the CVT.

Remember, this is an entry level econobox, not an Infinity. You will get sqeaks & rattles over time from the plastic.

Just get a louder stereo & all will be OK.

I have a rattle on passenger side that happens when going over large expansion joints in concrete. Drives me crazy. Seems to be suspension related. Dealer has had it twice, can hear noise but can't find it. Anyone else?

And remember, it's spelled Infiniti.

But yes, you're correct. Heck, cars from across the spectrum suffer from squeaks and rattles. If you consider the crap we put our cars through on a daily drive, it's no wonder we get a few rattles here and there.

The other day I was reading an article regarding the latest generation Lexus IS...it has had an abnormally high amount of complaints about dash rattling noises. So it just goes to show you that this stuff happens on econo-cars as well as luxury makes as well.

I'm an anti-rattle freak - although I haven't felt the need to do so on the Versa yet, on my previous cars, I've lined the interiors with sound-deadening material (under carpet and door panels and in trunks) as well as sought out little rattles here and there and stuffed material behind panels to remove the vibration. It's hard work, but if you want to turn the stereo down and enjoy peace and quiet, it's necessary in just about any car once it reaches a certain age.

Sunglass holder noise correction!

Tutorial:

1. Purchase cheeseburger at McDonalds.2. Eat cheesburger. 3. Dig around in bag for napkin.4. Fold napkin in half.5. Insert napkin into sunglass holder.

Doesn't take care of all the niose, but probably 75% of it.
