I have voltage and ground at the smart entrance control unit, but no chime. Not when I don't have my seat belt on, not when the key is in the ignition and turned off, and not when the headlamps are left on.

Do these things 'burn out'? Is it possible to somehow replace just the chime in the control unit? Is it possible to turn the chime off altogether?

lol the previous owner may have blown its brains out. I'd check the speaker to see if maybe someone just clipped its wires (it's located inside the smart entrance control unit). The FSM has a few troubleshooting steps for the warning chime, though most of them are for the seatbelt, door, key, etc switches.

Try disconnecting the battery to reset the computer if you have not already done it.

I need to read the FSM schematics a little more closely. The lack of warning chime in my vehicle was caused by a broken driver's door jamb switch. Simple fix, replaced the switch.
