No Video, Just Audio

So I finally decided to get a Murano, got a 2009. it has that iPhone input with that special cable (harness aux cable) and I can control my music while driving from the front panel without having to touch my phone. But... whenever I put videos I can only listen to the audio, cant watch the video on the screen (color screen, yes), and yes I tried being parked with the car turned off and with the e-break on, I've tried a lot of stuff but still can only listen to the audio of the video, not the video, I even tried using a DVD player on the Red-White-Yellow input on the back, same result , no video just audio. Any Ideas? Also... wasnt my iPhone suposed to be charging with this cable? cus its not charging at all
