When I bought my used M35 It only had the remote without the valet key. Am I going to have to have all the locks changed to get a manual key?

Do I even need a valet key? Any isues with only having the fob?

Thanks!

I've got about 11k on my used M35x in the past year. I have yet to use the valet key. Yeah, in my opinion you could probably do w/out it. But if you're compulsive about your machine like the rest of us-you'll probably have to get one!!

There is no valet key for Ms. Turn off the switch in the glove compartment that will not allow the trunk to be opened with the fob. Also, remember to lock the trunk pass thru. Just remove the key from the fob and give the fob to the valet.

I can't lock the pass through without the key. That was part of what I was asking. Has anyone had to replace all of the locks to get a key to do all of this? Any idea on the lock cost replacement. Not sure if I buy the lock if a locksmith can change them out(Driver door, Glove Box, Pass through, and Trunck).

Any chance someone has the ability to make a key to work in the lock? I don't think so but wasn't sure.

Infiniti can pull the "Knock-Out" numbers from the manufacturers info by referencing the VIN and can cut you a new valet key. Providing the previous owner didn't change the locks.

I seriously doubt the locks were ever changed out. Why would someone do this in the first place? The Valet key can be order through your local Infiniti dealership per use of your VIN number, driver license, and some paperwork to be signed. You might want to go ahead and get you another key fob while your at it. The Infiniti's actually come with two key fobs, 2-key fob key inserts, and a wallet key that comes in a slim plastic pouch.I have all of my keys when I purchased mine used. The only thing missing was the trunk cargo net. I asked them where I could buy this, and the guy simply gave me a new one they had. The only thing I'm missing are those darn key fob clips on both key fobs. I asked where I could get them and they did not know. Anyone know where I could acquire those OEM key fob clips?
