Some of the 2003's dont have a transmission fluid dipstick.

Had to take it to the dealer to check proper fluid amount.

I know they have one for sale on everythingG35, does this work for my car is the question...

My 07 is the same way... so is my wifes Seqouia...

Most manufactures are making the transmissions completely sealed and not serviceable.

I had the dealership service my G's transmission at 20,000 miles and they said all they can do is flush and fill the fluid... there is no serviceable filter?

I have a mixed feeling about that

As for that Woods, They say its a screen that is supposed to hold up for the life of the car/transmission.

You change yours out every 30K like they recommend??

I'm thoroughly confused here, and it may just be my fairly low IQ (86) or that everyone else is brilliant in here ... but, why do you need a dipstick on the tranny when you can see how full it is by simply looking at the plastic refill container that sits at the front of the engine compartment. That is by far a more accurate measure than any dipstick you'll ever use.

im pretty sure it must e your low IQ...the "plastic refill container" is either brake fluid, power steering fluid, or radiator fluid refills....not tranny fluid.

Im interested in this dipstick addition mod....id prefer to keep tabs on all fluid levels.

Don't put transmission fluid in the window washer plastic container. It will smear the winshield & you'll need new wiper blades.

oooooooops, mia culpa, mia culpa... I inadvertently read power steering and not tranny. As Mark Twain once said... one misprint in medicine can kill you, but in this case, one transferal of not reading carefully! Mia culpa again!

At least once per year someone comes in having added something wrong to brake fluid res resulting in a total tear down and replacement of brake + abs system.

We love these guys/girls as nothing like a $3,000 infusion.

Owners and incompetent mechanics keep the industry flowing!
