No Tonneau Cover came with my 2010 EX35

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

The first day I went into an Infiniti dealership I test drove and ordered my EX35. No printed brochures there but the dealer provided a feature sheet for me to decide.

Two weeks later I picked up my brand new EX35 Navi but later found no cargo cover included. Wouldn't it be misrepresentation? Neither the dealership nor Infiniti Canada head office willing to be involved, what's for me to do?

I'd go back and say "Where is it?"

For the 2010's, they are NOT being shipped with them anymore... so you might be one of the lucky ones who can get the Dealer to give you one.

The Cargo Cover is misinterpreted, and I deal with it a lot. Both with customers and salespeople. The Tonneau cover is available as a dealer accessory and you may be able to get the dealer give you one, but I believe technically, they can choose not to.
They sell for around $275 and are part numbers H4982-1BA0A for Gray, 1BA0B for black.
Hope you get it straightened out.

I paid a visit to my Infiniti Dealer today... and asked about the Cargo Cover delete... and my Salesman said that down in the USA, they had to lower the overall price of the EX35 to compete in the marketplace... so they decided to leave a few things off... but in Canada, we don't mind getting screwed over on Price  and we want our Cargo Cover, so some Dealers are reluctantly adding it in on the deal.

So victory goes to the buyer that gets the Dealer to throw one in.

Thanks EXc.. for the many info and links. @Poyz I don't see how I "misinterpreted"? The feature sheet clearly says "Contains: ...Cargo Cover" and I thought many 2010 Canadian EX owners may have relied on the same doc when they purchased their 2010 models, no? I have never seen a printed 2010 EX35 brochure ever BTW and want to know what the other 2010 owners relied on when they made their purchase? Anyone manage to get a "free" cover for their 2010 EX? Please share your story.

I remember it took me weeks to figure out the cargo cover was not there and it's when I tried to locate the cover handle to pull. And I felt so being cheated when the dealer told me the cover is not included in the 2010 model after asking "where is it?"

Lower the price but leaving a few things off doesn't make it more competitive either. I probably won't be interested in future Infiniti wondering what other corners they want to cut. I never expect a premium brand would do something like this.

dude I didn't say you personally misinterpreted it. But the dealer may have. Whoever did the PDI probably forgot to throw one in since its an added accessory. I wouldn't say Infiniti specifically cut a corner but instead your local dealer management. You could try and chat with them to get one for your vehicle, that's all I'm sayin.

I was shocked to learn mine didn't come with the cover. I cannot believe a supposedly upscale vehicle like an Infinity would not have one. Even my wife's RAV4 came with one and it cost considerably less. I love my EX but really Infinity... how can you be so bleeping cheap?

Yep, I sympathize with you... but thats the point. Infiniti wants the EX's to be cheaper.

Tomorrow, I going to the Dealership for an Oil-Change and Check-up... and I'll take a picture of the Sign in the Parts Department Accesory Showcase, mentioning EX35 Cargo Covers for sale.

Their Price for one... you'll have to wait until tomorrow, to find out. :woot:

In the mean time... here's 2 Auctions on eBay.

Hmmmm. . . . Never really looked into this but my 2010 didn't have it either.

I don't really care about this. It's more of a nuisance then of any real use. At least for me :D

... and "cargo cover" is no longer on the 2010 ex35 model line up printout...
you should be able to hold them to it (IMO)

Just need to negotiate the deal with what you want. I wanted the cover, front hood bug shield and rails for a price...mine was $36,300 with all the packages but the technology....and everything was installed when I picked it up.
