I just took my 97 I30 into the shop for the first time (outside of routine mait: brakes, tires, oil.....) for the usual 60K stuff: belts, plugs, fuelfilter, coolant, trans oil and filter. I swear the owners manual said to replace the the timing belt, so I told the mechanic to do that too.

He called me this morning and said there is no belt, but a chain that did not need replacing. Good news, but not what I was expecting.

I'm also having him put in a set of Bosch 4+ platimum tipped spark plugs. Has anyone out there tried them?
