No throttle response

ok i have a sr20det swap into a 93 fastback. the ECU isnt throwing any codes and im out of ideas. the car starts and idles just fine but WILL NOT rev up. has no problem idling though. there is a distinct rattle coming from cyl. # 3 that i cant place either. did a compression check and everything was A-OK. could the problem be the timing? i turned the CAS to fully retard the timing to see what the would do and it actually ran better! but i still have no throttle response. all vacc lines are sealed and i just dont know whats up. please help! hurricane isable looks like its gonna hit VA and i gotta get this beast runnin so i can get her back home.
