Starting with temp.
First I checked the connection at the sensor with it looking good, then routed into the cabin to the ecu. It shows Blue/Black harness to Blue/Black interior plug. Then to my cluster. Good to go. I'm getting power checking with a multimeter. I grounded the gauge as well to check if the gauge is good. (it went max after grounding).
I tried straight wiring it from cluster to wire by ecu, eliminating the wiring behind the dash (still nothing).
I tired straight wiring it from the red wire at the temp sensor with still no luck.
All I can think of else to try is to buy a new sensor and replace it.
RPM situation.
I had to hook up the green/black wire from ecu splicing into the yellow/red so that I would have power to RPM.
I tried straight wiring that eliminating the dash wiring.
noticed there are two yellow/red by the ecu. One going into the ECU, the other going into the bay. I tried testing both separate and currently have them spliced together.
I'm getting volts.
What I did find out though is I stripped a portion of my harness in my bay right outside the firewall and going to the side harness that runs to my injectors, coils all that does not have a yellow/red going to however in my harness portion that runs to the body for igniter, maf, and body harness I found one yellow/red but its capped off and going to nothing.
I also have 4 different clusters I;m trying with. Using the SR cluster as primary but a CA, KA/SR and a digital to even test. All showing nothing. Everything worked before the swap.
Anyone have these problems before or know how to help. I'm running out of troubleshooting ideas.
Much appreciated for any help.
