Okay guy's woke up this morning was all ready to pull her out of the garage and turned the key....nothing...So i had a buddy drive me up to town for a starter relay...still nothing... i tested my neutral safety switch in his hard body it is still good... Edit: Tested the starter and it turned slow had no umpfh to it and getting a new one on the first because funds are kind of lacking... While I have the starter out is there anything I should look at?

Sounds very much like your battery is dead, but, starter maybe as well. The first few lines made me think with certainty the obvious issue was lack of power.

Check to make sure the clutch switch is being pressed in by the clutch pedal.

Okay Auto zone said that it failed the test and i put it back in and hooked everything up and thought to try it for the hell of it what could it hurt right?

So i put the keys in pushed the clutch in etc etc and it started right up ... This is weird.... and yes rev it was connecting the relay clutch switch and wires where good i had my lights on and you could see that the starter was taking power away...its weird

Perhaps your cables are not secure or have too much corrosion causing a huge voltage drop.

Well now i know the starter is bad.. it died on the highway *had to help a stranded motorist * After i helped her I tried to start the truck again..No go..Same situation lights dimming as i turn the key. I had remembered that I had fiddeled with the starter's gear while on the way home from autozone so i poped it off turned the gear twice poped it back on a Voila she starts but.. this time i hear a loud pop and smoke..

Rip Original starter Picking up a new one soon
