A i had the same problem. The starters probably bad cause the solenoid are stuck. Or maybe you have bad grounding. Check your grounding again. I had the same problem. I thought it was my relay, but it wasn't. It was the grounding and my starter.

The clutch interlock switch is on the clutch. I assume your interlock relay is not connected to anything since you are using the auto tran harness.

I have to wonder if it would not be better to keep your manual tran harness. You should at least use as much of it that exists.

The guy in the article isnt really bypassing the interlock relay/switch, per se . The interlock relay and switch simply are not part of the auto tran harness. he's sending 12v postive directly to the starter without the interlock relay and switch in the circuit.

So, I should just bypass it then? (The interlock relay?) Before when I used to start my car, I had to push the clutch in to start it. I doubt my starter is stuck, it worked just fine before I removed the wiring.

Vancouver bc, so when I push the clutch in, it is making a ground and is completing the circut. So, where is the wire that comes from the switch, what does it look like?

I was just thinking that I should have to make my harness the same as those guys' that do the 5sp swap... since now I have A/T wiring. All they are doing is just bypassing something so the car will start without pushing the clutch in. In their pictures, I dont see the interlock relay, they are jumpering one of those plugs attached to the fuse box. Do you think I should do this?
