no speedometer/odometer

ok so i am new to the whole 240 scene...... that being said, please don't think i am a jackass..... i bought a 1990 240sx from a buddy of mine his brother owned it before him and put the wrench time in on it and not long after that he pretty well tore the car apart. i got the motor put back together and running runs great no problem there but........... he tore the ignition completely out and was pretty much just hotwiring the car. well i wired everything up between three switches and a push button start. everything worked great, no problems until i turned the main power off and took out almost every fuse under the kick panel and don't know if that is the cause of my speedometer or if it may be because of the sensor. i can give more details if needed but i really need some help.

sounds like ur vss/speed sensor is messed up or not connected its located in the rear passenger side of the trans

thanks for the info. crawled under the car yesterday and found the wired unplugged. reconnected them and it works fine
