I decided to see what my car tops out at so I gunned it on the freeway this morning around 6am with no one around. I took it all the way to where it would have read 130 on the speedo and then I backed off because i got scared. I don't encourage anyone to try this but sometimes you just get tempted, especially when you have an sr!

Nope, mine hits the limiter in fourth and fifth. I'm tired of getting passed up by mid 90's Accord Wagons.

:Werd

On the other hand, I think the speed limiter keeps me in check. I don't even bother to race RSX Type R's that rev on me, because I know that I'll just end up looking like a fool once the limiter kicks in.

ok, I know you can unplug the transmission sensor and get no limiter, but could one theoretically integrate a switch into the plug and just flip it when it gets up to the cut off point?

just have to spank them hard enough under 120 that they give up before you hit the limiter;)

my friend clocked me at 150+. he was having a hard time keeping up so he said when his speedo pegged at 150 and i was still leaving him we assumed proly close to 155. not bad for a 4 banger with balls. By the was I was racing a mitsu****y vr4 tt and won. theyre heavy a$$ boats.

Yes but why? Just unplug and weather proof it.

It's funny how the VR-4 just kinda hits a wall at 150mph. I know exactly what your talkinga bout. 20mins later at 70mph the bastard threw a rod. Whoops. :D

Or u could do this.....download an ECU pin chart and looks for pin number 32 its a yellow wire with a green strip (on an s13 5spd redtop #62ecu ONLY) thats the speed sendor input to the ecu.....CUT IT....enjoy goin 170 ;) Ps the signal goes from the sensor to the speedo THEN to the ECU so ur speedo will still work too.....so F those acura RSX's POS's
