Just hooked up new MSD system, only to find I wasnt getting any spark at all with it. (91 fastback 5 speed btw) I tested for spark per the manual's instructions, plus i've had plenty of experience with my car not getting spark, so Im confident thats what it is. I had the MSD box hooked up according to the manual's instructions. Anyone else had this experience? If so, how do you fix it?

Yes, I did. I sold my equip, went back to stock and then bought the Jacob's i.C.E Pak. But since Holley bought Jacob's, they don't make it anymore. But I may be willing to sell, for the right price.

I installed an MSD 6A on my NA KA for my senior thesis in college. Worked perfect, but didn't really do anything. Infact, using the factory spark plug gap I lost hp and torque. I opened the gap to .050" and ended up making a very, very small amount of power. I don't feel that the car starts any quicker or has better throttle responce, but it does idle smoother. Gas mileage has not been tested, but it seemed the same.

If you email MSD they may help you. I sent 3 emails to them during my project and the only 1 they answered was the 1st one about which unit to buy.

I had to call their long distance phone line, which they told me they did not have enough experience with my app to help me. Oh, and I assume an auto program, where at?

I will be done after this semester! Boring college, but great program. Long waiting list to get in. While here I've been the President of the Motorsports Association, one of the interviewees for the NAIT accreditation, and I got to drive the $1.2 mill Honda FCX.

That's nice, we have a lot of Toyota here, Honda doesn't pay much attention to us.

We just picked up the Honda PACT program this year. We actually have a test-mule RSX type S. The car has no VIN's anywhere on it, nor programmed into its computer. Plus, its EPA certified for 2004 but has the 2005 bodywork.
