this car is haunting me,

Not long ago my ignition stoped getting spark, i cut the efi harness near the maf and replaced that part with another`s car efi harness, and hardwired the possitive cable from the battery to the cable that goes into the + of the coil (seems like the positive cable inside the original harness is bad and i had to hardwire to get the coil working)

everything was fine, after a month, now im not getting spark again... i pulled all the cables i rewired and cleaned them and put them together again, and nothing, i got the + wire from the battery nearer to the coil and still no spark

ka24e Manual swapped

What coils can i use? im in the caribbean not lots of parts avalible, what kind of coils can i use to replace mine? since i think its not the wires i think the coil went, what can i do?

btw if i crank it, it SHOULD spark from the cable comming from the coil top right? the one that goes to the distribuitor, i put it on the chassis were i always tested it,

If im not getting spark that way what can i trace down?????

Buy a spark tester from your local parts store, then retest it for starters. Test at each plug as you want to watch for a consistent spark repeatedly as you crank the engine over. Other than that, I would get looking at one of the online FSMs and double or triple check all your wiring connections to the coil. It is either a bad coil, or bad wiring, but I would check the free/cheap solutions first, like the wiring.

Good luck!!!

Afirmative checked all my wiring and for my surprise below the fuse box near the battery up front, the red/black cable that feeds my coil was naked!, i mean no protection and also a cable going to a powerwindow was leeched there, i sealed that part and voila im rolling fine again

Seems like with all jumps and stuff the naked cable touched the chassis and grounded everything also the alternator fuse was damaged so my battery discharged, and the car started losing power etc... and thus engine off, now it wouldnt get spark dont know why (when i used a new battery) but after moving wiring its fixed

Bull****: Problem came up again, took out the whole distribuitor, tested the Crank Angle Sensor according to the FSM on the harness connector, wasnt getting signal, got a new one, plugged it, Instant sparks, Problem Solved.

The CAS, detects when the crank/pistons are in position to get spark, it detects it, sends signal for spark, if u EVER arent getting spark and are sick of searching, check the CAS, might be it

Some items don't turn the SES light on, i.e. crank angle sensor, ignition signal circuit.... this is why it is important to check for codes when you have a no start regardless or SES light.
