ok so heres the dilema, right now i can only get the factor fuel pump relay to come on when i leve the factory plug half way tighten down to the aem ecu. the plug also has a slant where not all of the plug is push down all the way. when i try and fire it, i get no spark from the coil nor do i see any change in the rpm engine speed when i look at the ecu program on the laptop. im thinking this is bc it looks like part of the plug isnt tightened all the way down, but when u tighten down the bolt down to secure the pump the fuel relay doesnt come on anymore. any suggestions? kinda sucks if my 2000 dollar ecu is deffective.

First off, AFTER you have tightened down the plug do you try and cycle the key again to try and trigger the fuel pump relay? Is the aem a DIRECT plug and play for the application you are using it for? Are you using the aem disc that is needed in the cas? Do you have your base maps setup?

yes i cycle yes its plug and play series 6600 v2 yes im using the cas that came with the ecu and yes i have loaded the tune that was made for my setup from the people that are tuning my vehicle. last night i tried to see if there was spark from the coil with the ecu tightened down like it should and still no spark. i then checked to see if the power wire for the coil ( which should be part of the two wire plug that plugs into the coil) and its only getting 5v both when the key is off and when its keyed. shouldnt this be getting 12v? so i cut that power wire and ran straight 12 volts to it and low and behold there was spark which makes me think for some reason that wire isnt getting the needed 12v to make the coil spark

That's kinda scary because if its getting 5 v usually tps gets a 5v signal. Maybe the wrong plug and play? or maybe is it possible to change the voltage output from ecu to coil? Just some ideas.

or im thinking something got wired wrong or pinned wrong when running the new sensors for the ka-t i know for a fact one of the new sensors was calling for it to be tapped into the tps power wire.

yea the map sensor called to share power with the tps maybe the wrong wires were cut and spliced?

actually it was the ait sensor wiring that was cut wrong. evidently the ignition coil plug has the identical plug has the air temp sensor so we switched the to and shes running now
