no spark

I have replaced the coil and distributor but still have no spark from coil wire. Help. I have a 1978 Datsun 620 pickup, all original. It died then ran intermittantly before it finally died. I then tried the above fixes.

Welcome to the forum!

Look at your grounds!! They might be your problem.....test the continuity from the negative coil terminal to the chassy.

also check your ignition sswitch somtimes the loose fire on the start side

The negative side of the coil shows power with the key on.

I'll check the ignition switch. Already checked for ground problems.
