no spark!!??

hey guys got a 92 240sx dohc got a new distributor cap an wires but number 2 is not getting any spark anyone know what it can be or any possibilities its a school project and no one can figure it out thxx

ha man im having the same problem with mine its the numbe 3 cylinder no spark have u found out y if u no now could u tell me thinks

Uh, replace spark plugs?

its not geting fire to the plug at all i wish that all it was i think its somthing in the dist.

hmm... try eliminating the possibilities. Use the spark plug on another wire, see if it sparks. if it doesn't... get a new one. The spark plug could have a crack in the Porcelain, or a number of other problems. Spark plugs are a lot more fragile than we are prone to think. If it does spark, than try using a new/or different wire. Im thinking If both of these dont fix the problem than you have a more in depth problem with the distributor, or the computer not sending spark to that wire. Good luck man

hay man thinks for trying but i changed the littel disc in the dis. and i starterd geting fire but still not runing on the 3rd cyl. so i did a comp. test im good on all 4 i thout i was geting fuel but mabe im not tomorre im cheaking injecter and swaping computer
